Miss Waterman was recently paid a fine compliment in the form of a recommendation by Historical Interpreter and amazing Presenter, Carol Jarboe (aka Maggie Delaney). The above image was made at the Corydon Indiana Territory Festival during one of Miss Waterman's 'Undressing' performances. Carol's husband Frank, who portrays Parson John (seated in black), was forced to avert his glance so as to maintain his virtue for nearly the entire talk.

On August 21st of 2011, in Mount Olivet, Kentucky, Miss Waterman gave her talk the guests who had come out to watch the recreated 'Battle of Blue Licks'. Her talk about ladies fashion covered fashion upon the frontier around the year 1781, the same year the battle took place.

On Saturday, September 24 2011, Miss Waterman gave her talk during the Ladies Tea at the Muster at the Wabash event in Vincennes, Indiana. Her demonstration was given to a 'full house' of interested ladies, and even a few gentlemen, and was very well received.

WHATEVER SHALL I WEAR?

Be it the Colonial era (1750-1790) or the Regency period (1800-1820), Miss Waterman's discussions of fashion and the clothing of the time makes sense out of what women wore. Miss Waterman's talk begins fully dressed in the clothing of the desired period, and as each layer is removed she shares the origins, reasons and historical anecdotes for each article.

Age old questions about the 'why' and even 'how' certain garments were worn are answered in this educational and entertaining presentation, suitable for all audiences.

Miss Waterman offers a 45 minute presentation followed by a 15 minute Q & A session.
